What inspires Angel ...

"I am inspired by Travis Wall-his ability to create such beautiful work, Irina Hamilton-the most inspirational ballet class I've ever taken, Juliette Irons-my good friend, her movement and musicality is insane, Matthew Tseng—his class truly makes me feel great and his enthusiasm is contagious, Kate Hutter—she is so creative, brilliant, and real, but also she's a great person, mentor, friend, and director. I'm inspired by teaching students with a strong drive and work ethic."

"My favorite teacher is Nick Watkins. His class is so real and inspiring to me. I feel like I can express who I am or how I am feeling without any judgment."

"I grew up in my mother's dance studio. I have always loved to dance, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a professional dancer. I was afraid to take the steps toward becoming a professional and then failing. I started training a group of very young students every day; I watched them grow into beautiful dancers and that is when I knew that this is what I wanted to do. Their passion, dedication, and drive pushed me to want to better myself as a dancer and inspire others like my students did to me."

"Thankfully I have not had any major injuries. I do have ongoing minor injuries that I have to work with, but that's almost inevitable when you are so hard on your body."

"Make the effort to learn how to take care of yourself, the road to becoming a professional is filled with aches and pains, let it drive you."

Angel's dream job is to be Britney Spears' back-up dancer. Totally serious.

"Success to me is accomplishing my goals. You set goals for yourself, you work hard, you work harder, and then you reach them. I like to say 'I will do this' instead of, 'I would like to do this' or 'I hope to do this.' It's a simple way to make the goal seem more of a reality."

Angel's favorite outfit to wear to class is butt shorts, a loose tank top, and socks.

"I love working with new directors and dancers. It's exciting to learn different styles, this helps you develop more as an artist."
